Emergency Patients
Only Priority 1 and 2 patients will be seen at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. These are patients in need of Emergency Specialist Medical Care, i.e. life threatening within 2 hours, which can not be rendered at the Regional- or District Hospital, the clinic or the Medical practitioner.
I am having a baby, what must I bring with?
Please bring the following with you when you come to hospital for your confinement:
- Towels x2
- Soap x2
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Face cloth
- ID book
- Clinic card
- Sanitary pads x2 packs
- Baby clothing
- Disposable nappies (size small) x1 large pack
Remember to take a registration form from the Ante Natal Clinic for registration of your coming baby
